A leading local construction firm has appointed a new leader.
Peter Gregory has taken over as the Managing Director of RG Falla Ltd, the company responsible for many of the Bailiwick’s most significant construction projects. Mr Gregory, who has worked for the firm since his arrival in Guernsey 17 years ago, welcomed the news: ‘I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to lead the company in its next phase of development and proud to be a part of the RG Falla story.’ He added: ‘After more than half a century of success there’s a lot to live up to, but I’m really looking forward to the challenge.’
Mr Gregory is originally from Bolton, where he started work in the construction industry in 1975 as a trainee quantity surveyor (see Note 1). He moved to Guernsey in 1991 and joined RG Falla Limited, rising to the position of Project Director. He has been involved in many notable projects, including the Credit Suisse building, Brecqhou island, Trafalgar Court, Marina View, the new Nurses’ Home and, most recently, Les Nicolles School.
Andy Hall, Chairman of the Garenne Group and the former Managing Director of RG Falla Ltd, commented: ‘We’re delighted that Peter will be taking RG Falla forward as its sixth Managing Director. The company has become an integral part of island life, with a proud history, and I know that Peter will be looking to develop that reputation.’
