New Director for RG Falla

A long-standing employee of RG Falla has been appointed as a director after 18 years with the company.

John Hatton has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years after starting in a joiner’s shop in a Lancashire-based family building company. He qualified as a quantity surveyor and attained a law degree while in full-time employment and moved to Guernsey in 2002.

‘John has vast experience and expertise and has played an important role in RG Falla remaining the largest building contractor in the island. He brings a wealth of knowledge and has the full respect of all his colleagues and I have no doubt that he will be even more of an asset to the company in his new role as director,’ said RG Falla Managing Director Peter Gregory.

Mr Hatton, 50, has been Project Manager on a number of notable projects including the Police Headquarters, Brecqhou Island, Dorey Court and Martello Court at Admiral Park and most recently the Vega Apartments on Les Banques.

‘It’s an honour to become a director of such a long-established and well-respected Guernsey company. RG Falla, together with the other companies which make up the Garenne Group, continue to be at the forefront of construction and building projects in the island because they have a reputation for excellence. I am excited that my new role will allow be to use my experience to train and educate the younger talent within our company to maintain that enviable reputation,’ said Mr Hatton.
